Magnetic Reversal
One of the reversal’s causes is the harmonic cycle of the sun’s magnetic fields. This is the other face of polar shifting–the safer magnetic reversal. This polar reversal last happened in 2001. It happens regularly every 11 years. This means that the next polar shifting will be in 2012 thus, the polar shift 2012.
When this happens, the magnetic fields of the sun in the north will point to the south while the south magnetic fields will point to the north. This is not really a physical shifting that will be obvious with the naked eye because only the magnetic fields will reverse.

The next polar reversal is predicted to take place on Earth in 2012. This means that there will be an interchanging of poles from North to South. This will not happen so safe and quiet, though. The change of poles will have all the living things on earth at stake.

Experts say that because of the clock-like regularity of polar shifting, there will be abrupt shifting of poles. This may be natural to our planet but this is as natural as causing total destruction. Paleo-magnetic evidence and early manuscripts have stated these have happened in the past.
